"Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff is a monumental 20th century choral work, with texts drawn from medieval poetry on the subjects of fate, love and tavern life. The Muhlenberg College Wind Ensemble and College Choir performed this piece in 2018, in Egner Memorial Chapel on November 3, and this performance, in Empie Theatre on November 17. The concert was dedicated to the memory of Albert Neumeyer, long-time director of the College's Wind Ensemble and former director of the Jazz Ensemble, who passed away July 30, 2018.
